Vertical Mills
Vertical mills, also known as vertical roller mills(VRM), are highly efficient grinding machines used for a wide range of materials. They are characterized by their vertical orientation and the use of rollers to crush and grind the material against a rotating grinding table.
Working Principle
The material to be ground is fed onto the center of a rotating grinding table. As the table rotates, centrifugal force pushes the material outwards, where it passes between the grinding rollers and the table. The rollers, which are typically mounted on pivoting arms, apply pressure to the material, crushing and grinding it. Airflow is often used in conjunction with vertical mills to dry the material and convey the fine product upwards to a separator. The separator returns oversized particles back to the grinding zone for further processing.

YSMS Slag Series Vertical Mill
• Grindability of the raw material: MFS = 0.9 - 1.0
• The moisture content of the slag fed into the mill can reach 15% - 20%
• Specific surface area of the slag: 4000 - 4500cm²/g. The larger the specific surface area, the correspondingly lower the output
• Moisture content of the finished product ≤ 1%
• The specific installed power of the mill and the process parameters shall be appropriately adjusted according to the properties of the actual materials and the requirements of the owner.
